Our process for accepting contractors into our system is a thorough one, designed for accepting only quality contractors you can trust. If you were to perform the same process we do, you would spend more than five hours and $30 for every contractor you use.
Contractors who get accepted into LoopedHome:
Are excellent communicators.
Excellent communication starts with proper scheduling and communicating when they are on their way to your home.
Communicating well to you about the details of the project, and keeping everyone updated every step of the way is essential and made easy on the LoopedHome platform.
Are friendly and respectful of your home.
It’s their job to make you feel safe and respected by them. This includes displaying a professional and positive attitude at all times.
Basic steps are also taken to protect your home from damage, debris, and dust. Proper drop cloths to and in their work area are the expectation, and an opportunity to show they care about your home, along with thoroughly cleaning up after themselves.
Accept and correct their mistakes.
If they make a mistake, know that they will fix or redo their work.
Plus, with LoopedHome’s satisfaction guaranteed policy, you really have nothing to worry about.
Have a positive online and social media presence.
We do not require that they have a presence on all platforms, only that if they do have a presence, it is a positive one.
We check their online business presence and reviews on Facebook, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn, Better Business Bureau, Home Advisor, and Thumbtack.
Pass a criminal background check.
Our customer’s physical, mental, and financial safety is our top priority.
Have current and valid trade licensing.
Not every trade requires a license, but if theirs does, we confirm licensing status with the city, county, or state- whichever applies.
Have current business filings with the state for at least two years.
We need to know they are invested in their own business and care about their own reputation. In our experience, growing businesses that are older than two years are more likely to provide exceptional service.
Have current minimum liability and workers compensation insurance.
General Liability Insurance:
For most trades, we require that they carry a minimum liability policy of $1,000,000 with a $2,000,000 aggregate.
Workers Compensation Insurance:
We, and the state of Oklahoma, require license holding contractors to have their own Worker’s Compensation Insurance.
If they are exempt from Workers Compensation Insurance, we require a copy of their Worker’s Compensation Exemption Card.
Submit at least five current customer referrals.
We need to hear from their customers about their experience doing business with them prior to joining LoopedHome. After they become a LoopedHome contractor, they are rated after every project.
Submit valid identification.
We keep a valid driver’s license or U.S. Passport on file.
